Poached Pears

8 small pears

1 cinnamon stick

3 cloves

1" piece of ginger

4 cups water

1/2 cup coconut sugar

Method:

  1. Peel the pears using a vegetable peeler.

  2. Place all in a large saucepan.

  3. Cover & simmer until soft, approximately 10 minutes (if very ripe). Leave in the warm, sweet water and serve warm or drain and use with your morning porridge.
