Spicy Oven Fries
We love some spicy fries to dip into garlic yogurt (or sour cream) to accompany our burgers. This isn’t a frequent meal, but it’s sure delicious! Coating the fries on spices before baking, makes them so good. We think you will agree
1 sweet potato
1 large russet potato
Extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chili flakes
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Method:
Preheat the oven to 430F/220C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Wash the potatoes if needed. Leave the skin on and cut away any discolored parts. Then cut each potato into 1/4” slabs, cutting lengthwise from North Pole to South Pole (end to end), so you have long fries.
Toss fries into a bowl and drizzle olive oil over to coat, sprinkle in spices and toss.
Lay flat on the baking tray and bake 20-40 minutes. Baking time will depend on how thin or thick you cut the fries.
Serve right away with garlic yogurt. Enjoy!
